I'm about to take a six month deployment tour. The man I've been seeing since early June has been absolutely wonderful, and, despite my initially "shooting him down". he's been incredible. We talk about long term goals all the time. So now I'm wondering when the talking will turn into action. I asked "will he propose before I deploy" at 5:58 am, Washington DC august 21.

I get teh sun as my sig in the first house, conjunct saturn, his sig in the first house. My sun sig is dignified by sign making me pretty strong (of the two of us, I have the more dominant personality) His Saturn is combust, but almost cazimi. In an event, he's pretty well hooked and with my sun applying to the almost exact conjunction, the feeling is mutual, even if I am in the stronger position.

Venus on the ascendant also bodes well for a romance chart and the conjunction of our sigs is at the midpoint of venus (love) and mercury (comunication). I n this case, venus also rules the third house commuications and is retrograding right back over the ascendant.

So, I'm thinking that there is definately good feelings here, but not sure about the final question.

I`m no good at Horary but to jot down what struck me at the first superfficial glance at the chart is that yes, Venus is right on the AC(therefore can be taken as your co-sig) but it`s not in a good shape--- peregrine and Rx, and still combust, which may mean that you`re not seeing the situation clearly? The close opposition from Neptune smack on the DC also reinforces that you may be somewhat idealising him or the relationship itself, as Saturn in the late degrees in Leo, his sig, doesn`t look good, even though you think highly of him, receiving him in your own sign and house.
The Sun is applying to Saturn, indicating that you`re the more keen one to take things further; Saturn isn`t likely to initiate action. As the strong Sun approaches, he may possibly feel a bit pressured or overwhelmed becuase Saturn has no dignity in Leo. But when Saturn is in cazimi, infused by the dignity of the Sun, it may indeed produce your desired result. Both you and Saturn are at late degrees, which suggest an imminent change of circumstances/ situations.
Does the Moon support the favourable outcome? I don`t know... becuase before reaching that lovely, nice-looking Jupiter, it`s impeded by the malefic Mars` opposition, ruling 4th and 8th.

Saturn is conjunct Regulus so it may not be that bad.

I was inclined to take a look at this chart, and it is quite a live one.

Normally, under circumstances as present in the chart where Lord 1 & Lord 7 are coming to an immediate conjunction in an angular house we would have an immediate yes, showing the two parties coming together.

Now, this coming together occurs before your significator leaves it's current sign. The leaving of the sign can be seen as you literally leaving your home to go away. So far, so good.

With Venus rising it is no doubt an indication of marriage coming to the surface.

However, we see the Part of Marriage sitting right on Neptune and Venus applying to oppose it rather shortly. This is concerning. Although I am not a big Neptune fan for Horary, when it is sitting this prominent in a chart it must be paid attention to. I think there is quite a bit more about this situation than meets the eye that would need to be understood and discussed to know what was really going on within it.--Neptune in such a case can act very often in the way that combustion behaves, where one cannot see themselves or the situation quite so clearly.

In addition the Moon is applying to oppose Mars 9th lord, which shows you breaking away, deploying. Even though the Moon hits Mercury first, it is via a square and the Moon recieves Mercury in it's detriment. The Moon is interested in Jupiter, not Mercury, so this could be a problem.

If you had come to me related to the same question I would have wanted to know what the timing was, with regard to when exactly you are planning to leave, it might shine further light on how we work the timing in the chart.

Of further interest is that you say you have been dating him for approximately 2 and a half months, and the Moon is in 2 and a half degrees of it's sign. as if to relate a situation that has just begun. So the Moon's timing might be marked from this. Interesting eh?

Anyhow, because of the intense dynamics in this chart I would indeed be interested to hear a report from you on how these things turned out, either before or after your trip. How the Neptune factor played out? and the Mercury factor here?
