Time for a musical interlude....

Never being one to respect the privacy of my friends, here?s a link to a mp3 file offering a musical ditty about the current state of astrology in the universities. Highly recommended to those who have no discerning taste in music. Brought to you by the questionable talents of Kirk Little and Garry Phillipson, the lyrics, (if you must know), are below.

http://www.astrozero.co.uk/keplercollegegirls.htm

Oh the East Coast gods are really hip
At Kent their guys are there
The astrology is divinatory
And 'The Great Year' is nowhere

But the West Coast gods are different, yeah!
Where the cosmos is new age
At Lampeter, Wales they have Dr Nick
Where research is all the rage

I wish they all could be Kepler College girls...

The ideological gap in the UK scene
Has become real clear
The folks from the west run empirical tests
While the east is filled with seers

'Cos the East Coast scene has their own views
That some people find so odd
They combine the Ching and old Granny's ring
But they make div seem so mod!

Now all this talk about these views
Hasn't helped the astrology scene
There's projection here and projection there
We forget Dawkins and Dean

I wish they all could be Kepler College girls..

And here I was looking for "the wheel in the sky keeps on turning"

or the dawning of Aquarius or

something, sigh... and my friend Di thinks I'm bad for not going with her to a BACH concert, she'd have hysterics over such new age stuff. hehehehehehe!

of course it would make me laugh just to see the look on her face, Oh I must....

You think Qntal's "Von Den Elben" is "new age"? Really? Good Lord.

If "Von Den Elben" qualifies as new age music, then the 5th Dimension's "Age of Aquarius" must qualify as post-apocalyptic thrash metal or goth industrial rock. And Bach must have been a head-banger.

Thanks Enid and Lee! And of course it's fine with Kirk and me if you want to use it for your recessional or whatever.
