Triplicities

According to Lilly and many other classics, Mars rules the water triplicity by both night and day. Is there any difference in quality between the diurnal and nocturnal rulership? Mars being a nocturnal planet should should give improved performance and an advantage or better balance by night. What do others say?

Hi Andrew,
Do you mean in a night birth chart Mars should perform better? Because I've known some top notch athletes born in the day time, albeit one with mars in Capricorn in 10th ruling his chart and the other with Mars conjunct Spica in the 1st house, so certainly Mars was strong in both charts. And Mars is associated with better balance?

According to Ptolemy the humidity of the night is beneficial Mars. Therefore he is accounted to the nocturnal sect. My question is - since Mars rules the water triplicity by both day and night, does the triplicity of water perform better and deliver more during the night or according to the state of Mars?
