Anyone got a an astro-clock that can be run on a mobile phone?
Or a small program for the mobile that will calculate the local ascendant?

What kind of phone do you have?
Try to search for Java applications, they work on most phones.

This is close to what I am looking for. Unfortunately, I never made it to the Palm. You will laugh, but I replaced my laptop running on Win95 only last Autumn.... And had more problems with the Vista than I ever had with Win95.

Szgabor was close to understanding my needs, too, because I am essentially looking for a Java program (.jar) that migth run on an Ericsson.

What I need is something that can keep track of the ascendant while I am out jogging, or out using public transport. I used to have a wrist watch that was pretty neat, but one of the parts came off it and could not be replaced. I used to made cardboard swivels that would keep track of all sorts of things. At least it kept my mind working.

I believe it should be able to run simple calculation program or astroclock on a mobile, but I haven't seen it yet. I will take a closer look at the link you provided. Thank you!

If broadband connections on mobile phone are available in Norway, you can simply log onto www.astro.com for free chart calculations.

Well, if PDAs/PDA phones come into play, AstroPocket is a very good one. My mother uses it a lot on her Treo 650.

PalmOS PDAs are pretty cheap these days. New ones cost around ?250, but with some patience you can find older, used ones for well under ?70.
