I wonder if someone can help.

I have been looking at a chart, concerning the contact between two people.
Mars and Venus are moving towards perfecting a trine, but mars aspects saturn first.
Any ideas on what will come of this? lilly talks about, two dogs fighting for a bone, but the third gets it......I dont understand really. The two will still perfect in time, but i dont really get what will happen with saturn getting there first. (mars was the querent of the question)
