The ever-important angles in a progressed or directed chart are different, depending on whether I use the birthplace or the person's current location. Which is correct?

Hi Ellen,
Progressions and directions are methods by which the astrology shows us how the life/birth chart unfolds or develops. Therefore, we use natal location for these methods no matter how far the native moves from the birth place. We don't change the natal chart when the native leaves the birth place, and we don't change the location for the techniques that are based on the natal chart developing over time.
Returns are another matter because they are a kind of transit, and some astrologers use the location at the time of the return for those charts.

Thanks, Tom. That makes a lot of sense.
