I'm sure this has been asked many times, but it has many avenues to explore.

1)If the Ascendant is rectrograde within a horary does it lessen the validity of the horary chart?

2) If the Quesited is rectrograde do we look at our verdict with great apprehension or suspicion?

In other words how does a Rectrograde impact our horarys: espeacially that greatly loved Merc Rectrograde? :D

The ascendant cannot be retrograde, so you must mean the ascendant's ruler. No it does not.

2) If the Quesited is retrograde do we look at our verdict with great apprehension or suspicion?

Again you mean the ruler of the quesited. And again in and of itself it does not mean as you suggest. Retrograde planets in a horary can have specific meaning in context. For example, if the question is getting back with a former lover, and the quesited's planet is retrograde and approaching the querent's planet, then yes, it has significance. It means the quesited s coming back to the querent. If the quesited's planet is retrograde and applying to the ruler of, say, the 4th house, then it could indicate that the quesited is going "back home." Context is everything
