Free Petrol caused Traffic Chaos

People left their concepts behind as the rumour spread of free petrol at a gas station just north of Oslo late Friday night. The time was about 23.00 hrs CEST when customers suddenly discovered a fault on one of the pumps. The price of petrol showed Kr. 0.00!
The queue of cars up to the pump was soon several 100-metres long. People were using their horns and driving on the pavement to try and get ahead in the scramble. "People were coming with buckets and empty windshield fluid cans and filling them up until they floated over," a witness reported. The police received reports that aggitation was running high and people were getting into fights. At 23.35 CEST the police had the situation under control and a guard was put at the faulty pump.
