Will I get a job 1 by mscool I am in a dilemma to stay back in the country I am now in or go back to my home country. While the decision involves many factors, finding a job is one of the most important. If I stay back, I might (just might) get scholarship to pursue research but job scene does n't look bright. In fact, back home is not so good either. So I want to ask will I get a job here in this place or back in my country. I am confused which houses do I take as my current home is actually abroad for me and home country mean I need to travel long distance. So 4H is current home or home country? Or going home is 4H from 4H, 7H? But any job is 10H so same significator as me - Mercury. Mercury is in 5H conj Jupiter in Capricorn (it is in fall). Does that mean I need to travel long distance or I am staying in foreign land to get a job? http://forum.astro.com/yabbfiles/Attach ... _22727.gif Quote Wed Jan 07, 2009 8:05 pm
by granny_skot When the Significators are botht he same, it means that you and the subject are of the same mind. I'd say you will probably get some kind of job fairly soon, But at the same time (as a person who does a bit of mentoring I'd encourage you to) apply for the research grant. Doesn't hurt and may help. the economy needs time to settle itself and if you can get grant money it helps take you out of the struggle for the moment. Mercury will retrograde shortly and Venus ruler of both money and Higher education in this chart will Sextile. Right around 23 Cap which also coincides with a mars Saturn trine and new moon (Jan 26,27). You seem to like to get these charts that have retrograde perfections in them. Makes me wonder if the charts aren't saying that you need to back up in your life and and check the path you are on???? it is a question not a judgement. Obviously you are asking these questions at about the same time period and the planets are going to be in similar places. So just something to consider. Granny Quote Wed Jan 07, 2009 11:32 pm
by mscool Thanks so much. My heart is on research and I do not see much prospects in going home too. But one issue is survival here is expensive and additional expenses without any support from any one. You were right, Saturn retrograde was there in my last post also and the person is returning back to his partner. That's one factor I wish I were with friends and family to get out of the low spirits than staying alone here. I am so mixed about all parts of life, I am linking everything - relationships, career, education. And my decisions are getting harder. May be that's the reason planets are retrograde in these charts - saying stop and think before you proceed on this? What else can retrograde mean - I hope its not that I am on wrong track? I always believed crises in life means you were not disciplined enough or have enough clarity on these issues so planets are pushing you to think and get clarity what means more to you before you act. Do you think I will get clarity if not job by end of this month? Quote Wed Jan 07, 2009 11:55 pm
by dlynne Hello, Spring. I will give this a try. I think the 4th house represents your current home. Your birthplace is more a 1st house matter, as the ascendant shows how you come into the world. So, for the purpose of this horary, I am using the 4th house as your current dwelling place. I am not sure a horary can advise you on whether you should stay in England, or return to your birth country. I know I should not restate your question, but I look at this chart as if you are asking, "Will I find a job in England?" or simply "Will I find a job?" The question was asked, according to your chart, on December 29, 2008. 10:04 pm in Bradford, England. As noted by Granny, the 10th house and the ascendant have the same ruler, Mercury. Mercury is not retrograde in this chart, so there is no obvious sign that you are going "back" anywhere. Lilly states in Christian Astrology, p. 445 regarding 10th house questions: "If the Lord of the tenth receive the Lord of the first or the moon by any reception, or in any house, the matter will be effected with much content and profit." Here, Mercury, Lord of the first, and the Moon are in each other's triplicty. They do receive each other. The part of fortune is in your 11th house. Lilly notes in his section on 11th house questions that, generally, the part of fortune found in the 11th house in a horary indicates the Querent will receive what she desires. More good news! The midheaven conjuncts the fixed star Alderbaran. Robson states the Alderbaran culminating in a chart gives "Honor, preferment, good fortune and favors from women." It seems, according to this horary, that you will find work in England. Or, perhaps, you will find work in whichever country you focus your efforts. Where might you best look for work? In this chart there is extraordinary receptions between Mercury (you and your 10th house job) and Saturn. Further, Saturn is found in your first house. This indicates to me that you may profit by looking for work in places ruled by Saturn, or places represented by the fifth and sixth houses of the your horary. To me, Saturn does represent research, since Saturn represents hidden and buried things. Alderbaran suggests that a woman in one of these places may take a liking to you, and push for your employment or research grant. My judgment is that yes, you will find work in England, if you make the effort. Please let us know how this develops. Quote Thu Jan 08, 2009 4:19 am
by mscool Thanks so much for such a positive picture I needed a lift up of my spirits, now of all times. I will keep you posted if any thing moves in that direction. Saturn might mean a teacher? One of our faculty is keen on backing my grant application but it is a male. Quote Thu Jan 08, 2009 4:10 pm
