How do you interpret this? 1 by pankajdubey Hi All, A very interesting configuration will take place. Currently,Venus is applying to a sextile with mars .In ephemeris before this aspect is perfected ,mars moves in to trine saturn and venus ends up opposition to saturn. All of this happens in the same degree and while all the aspects are still in the partile state and within 17 mins of each other. Anyone experienced it's effect in practice ? I am sure this would be common with slower planets. Cheers PD Quote Sun Jan 18, 2009 3:58 am
2 by Tanit I'd think it would depend on the question. It's translation of light of Mars-Saturn, then Venus via Saturn, then back to Mars via Venus. So these sigs in a chart would be transferring their energies back and forth... Quote Sun Jan 18, 2009 6:45 am

5 by pankajdubey What I was specifically looking for: I understood the collection to be a bit more complicated and largely when there is no aspect between the two signifactors or a seperating one ;some are more liberal and other talk of friendship or enemity between planets. http://www.skyscript.co.uk/tobyn2.html Saturn is retrograde and in fall sign of venus- what happens to the concept of return of virtue in these cases. Lastly, the interpretation w.r.t the concept of partile and being within planetary disc orbs. Let us presume the question before 8.04AM and Venus and Mars as signifactors. The main issue is that Venus and Mars don't really need Saturn's help PD Quote Wed Jan 21, 2009 1:44 am
The approaching Venus/Mars sextile 6 by voyagergirl Am I missing something? In looking at Astrodienst at this very moment, it appears Venus is only minutes away from sextiling Mars. So does this happen twice this month? In other words, how is possible that Mars aspects Saturn before Venus can sextile Mars? (Note: the time is 8:39 MST on Jan. 20). Quote Wed Jan 21, 2009 3:39 am
Answered my own question! 7 by voyagergirl I see that even though Venus is just minutes from sextiling Mars, the sextile does not become completely exact until Jan. 24. But in the meantime, not only does Mars trine Saturn, it goes on to sextile Uranus and then Venus opposes Saturn after first conjuncting Uranus. If I were doing a relationship horary with Mars and Venus as the significators, I would read the interposing planets as a frustration that would deny a favorable outcome. If yes, then you need in a question before 8:04 Saturn as collector of light. See my posting above. How else can you justify Saturn intervening? Quote Wed Jan 21, 2009 8:43 pm
9 by Aphrodite Just to add to the confusion a little bit more... Do you take into account the number of degrees to partile between significators at the time of the question, regardless of which aspect will actually perfect first? For example, tonight, the Venus-Mars sextile is 0.12 degrees from being partile but the Mars-Saturn trine is 1 degree short. Has this practice been abandoned now that we can accurately calculate the speed of the planets? Also, Moon has just entered Capricorn, and when the Mars-Saturn-Venus aspects start separating she will bring them back together. If my calculations are correct, the Moon will translate light from Saturn to Mars and then to Venus, so I believe that everything is not lost for the Mars-Venus sextile, which I tend to agree will not benefit from retrograde Saturn. How successful this translation will be by a besieged and detrimented Moon is another question. Quote Fri Jan 23, 2009 8:15 am

Do you think of looking more at the space between the significators than at the time of their perfect conjunction or aspect? Is't that hellenestic style. Did Lilly mention that? But I really don't kwow, if I understand you quit right. 11 by Aphrodite My question about the degrees to partile distance arose after reading voyagergirl?s post, where the Venus-Mars sextile is only minutes from perfect but in the end the aspects to Saturn occur first. Should that be incorporated into the delineation? Is it giving us any information about the situation at the time of the question? It may well be a hellinistic point of view but I find it at least intriguing. As I wrote in my previous post Moon will apply to these three planets just as the trine-opposition-sextile begin separating, so I don?t think that it would add to the nice list of outcome vs time you made Johannes, since this list stops at the critical 9:05 time point. My whole point with bringing Moon into the picture was that in questions with Venus-Mars significators the matter can still be perfected, depending on the time again, even if you believe, like some of the contributors to this thread, myself included, that retrograde Saturn will not help but will probably harm whatever Venus and Mars are trying to achieve. However, if you judge Saturn as a supportive collector of light you wouldn?t require the Moon?s testimony anyway. Quote Tue Jan 27, 2009 2:03 am
