I've wanted to explore an idea for a while and that is trying to model the influence of the Moon thru the Signs from New Moon to Full and back again to end Moon.

Plenty of people say it moves too fast but I think there are plenty of people out their who'd benefit from knowing what sort of Moon it's going to be.

I've ready Brady and some of the Eclipse authors and I think it's relevant to do this. For example the progressed Moon I understand is a pretty critcal indicator so why NOT shrink that idea into 29.5 days.

So here goes but I'm abit weak still on rulerships and how you interpret who's the ruler when two or more planets are at work.

So what I'll do is do it Sign by sign and perhaps others can chip in. I've choosen London but of course the Moon is the most effected by locational changes.

So the New Moon starts at 13.12 on Sunday 24th May 2009 in 3? 28' in Gemini near the 10th house cusp.

The first thing to look at then is the ruler of Gemini which is Mercury retro in Taurus.

So using Deb's super friendly table

we see that Mercury is pereguine and retro meaning that she's having a bad day.

She's applying to Saturn in trine.

So correct me if I'm wrong, please do, we might hazard a guess that the roots of this New Moon don't suggest that the glories of Gemini (are there any?) will be show cased, in fact the opposite may well be true.

The next step I understand from that chappie who wrote the Eclipse book would be to look at the Full Moon in Sagittarius. This would tell us how the two halfs of the energy come together.

Perhaps it would tell us what chance the bad start has of coming to a harmonious end.

Anyway the Full Moon is 7th June at 19.11pm in Sagittarius 1st house but ruling 2nd house cusp.

Jupiter ruler of Sagittarius is very slow but direct and in near exact conjunction with Chiron and Neptune and also pereguine (or am I thinking of the falcon?).

So NOT great stuff.

And now comes to the bit that I struggle with.

Both rulers are without dignity but does that mean it's a negative situation or just a flat situation without much potential? I think the later.

Then what I'd do is move the Moon/ Sun relationship on 30? and see the state it's in. So I'm just considering the state of play when the Moon changes sign.

Which makes me think that we'd need to consider the Sun's dignity at the start to help us understand the potential in the month's Moon.

I'll go back to that.

And now I wish I'd brough Brady's book with me so that I could refer to how she she's the Moon's phases. But I'll just have to work it out for myself.

This phase she's th influence of the Moon starting abit. The Moon's at Home and doesn't make anything particularly nasty in it's trip there but I'd need to look more carefully later.

So please bare with me. I can only sit at a high frequency ultra-sonic emitting electronical machine like a computer for so long before it interfers with my own resonances.

The question that is taxing me just now is how to pull together the two sides of the cycle.

ie New Moon and Full Moon.

And then ofcourse each other phase or sign.

Hello to you, Yikkes...yes, there are glories to Gemini, although you wouldn't be able to garner that fact from all the negatives written about the sign.

The chief characteristics of Gemini are intuitional...with a tremendous ability for mental activity...and so they accumulate and distribute. As Walt Whitman, a Gemini, wrote in Leaves of Grass: "I celebrate myself, and sing myself, And what I assume you shall assume, For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you."

And so with Gemini highlighted in this New Moon of May 24, 2009, I have written the following:

"GEMINI: There is nothing like a New Moon in Gemini - sign of knowledge, its accumulation and dissemination - to prick the closed minds of folks and to deal with our own communication abilities...or lack thereof. Set for Washington, D.C., on May 24, 2009 @ 8:12 A.M. EDT, the New Moon - which is a conjunction of Sun and Moon - falls into the 12th house, a perfect set-up for purging and purifying our moral and spiritual ideals."

Note: I am leaving out the body of my essay but closed with this:

"Gemini?s ruler Mercury is retrograding in the 11th house at 24 Taurus, squaring both Jupiter and Neptune conjoined in 9th house Aquarius as the New Moon is birthed and speaks to impediments to one?s judgment with regard to religious matters...specifically, rigid and unregenerated opinions (Mercury/Fixed Signs) and that action must be taken (squares) to correct same.

If the average American chooses not to clean their own attic, then in that event the energies will express negatively through your congress people (11th house) to everyone?s general religious disadvantage. It will be interesting to follow this cycle to its conclusion to see if my insight was correct.
