Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if someone would help me determine an answer to this horary. I have developed neurological problems affecting my mobility and speech. There is a very small chance it is a rare treatable condition and I have been optimistic about this, but the new specialist has cast some doubt on this and there are concerns this is degenerative.

Will my health improve or deteriorate?

Rx, weak, cadent. Applying conjunction to 8th house cusp but gathering strength as it moves into angular house? I am worried about the 8th cusp application obviously! (fear, anxiety or loss.)
Separating Conjunction from Neptune rx: In traditional we ignore Neptune, but this picture makes sense as I am about to be taken off medication which suppress my symptoms.

next aspect of the moon is a sextile to venus on Aldabaran (new beginning). venus is Lord 10, treatment? but the reception here is not good.

The first house is occupied by a combust mercury - or is it cazhimi? I think it is just cazhimi (I have been mentality strong and positive about all this as my condition has responded well to treatment, but my movement is very impaired without medication)

A few more thoughts about planets in the 1st house:

Mercury is in the house of its joy.
But the south node also occupies the first house, though it is at the end of cancer, not in the same sign as Mercury Sun conjunction.

Still trying to work out if mercury is combust or cazhimi, and what the sun may signify. I was wondering if it could be the physician. Though I think he is Mars, Lord 9 (specialist who is at a distance to my home. as Lord 1 separates from mars, and mars rules surgeons, and its in a mercury ruled sign.

Interestingly in medical matters, the Sun signifies:
palpitations or trembling, or any diseases of the brain or heart, timpanies,
hot and dry planet in a cold wet sign (cancer).

Mercury aspects saturn, and there is a mixed reception which is interesting. My movement is restricted, so this seems like a picture as well. Saturn is also Lord 7 (my previous doctor) and lord 8.

From what I understand, the 1st signifies your health, whereas the 6th represents a potential disease. The stronger the disease is (by dignity and house placement), the more likely it will be to attack, especially if your health is weaker than the disease (L1 is weaker than L6). A strong disease in a weak house (esp. cadent) will likely not affect you, but the potential is there. Here the disease seems rather debilitated (though so is the Moon, being peregrine in a cadent house). The Moon won't aspect it either until she reaches the end of her sign, which is over 20 degrees (some would say a unit of months: cadent house, cardinal sign). This may suggest that it is degenerative, however, especially since the disease is retrograde (returning).

The Moon is within 5 degrees of the 9th, and therefore can be interpreted as in the 9th.

I believe it to be Cazimi also (within 27 degree min arc), and they are conjunct the ASC. This seems to be a favorable indicator to have in your house of health (1st house). Mercury disposits the treatment (Venus) also, and Venus is in your house of hopes/wishes. Venus is also the disease's detriment, which is something you'd want! The Moon applies to Venus before she aspects the disease, so hopefully the treatment will help to prevent future problems.

I think these planets are just indicators of your health. I thought doctors were 6th house sigs. If you didn't ask about your doctor, I wouldn't look for his sig.

And just to add to the good comments Tanit has made, the traditional signification for the doctor, as the treating physician, is the 7th house and its ruler. If that planet is not a good one and well placed, it is a reason to think about changing your doctor. Saturn here doesn?t seem to be a particularly helpful planet, which might suggest that the opinion of the new specialist is not too reliable. If it is possible for you to get another opinion, I would.

Im sorry, I thought no-one had replied to this post. I feel like I am having a mercury retrograde moment, finding this reponses now.

I dont have much by way of an update, as I still have no diagnosis, and it is still a matter of concern. However this information may be able to be applied to what you both have posted. Eventually my specialist organised a panel of doctors to speak to me and they reviewed my case and I had a series of tests. As yet I do not have the results.

Tanit, I think I can confirm mercury cazhimi, as the doctors were more helpful than my own specialist , they felt like they were trying to look after my interests and so I am wondering of they are represented by the mercury cazhimi with sun in the first house. The treatment so far has controlled the disease. Thankyou your reponse was very interesting. I will be looking to see if 20 as a unit of time measurement fits. 20 weeks seems to work approximately with when I had the tests done, however I dont think they have gleaned results and so 20 months I will have to watch for.

Deb, your thoughts on my own doctor seem to be true and I do wish I could get an independent opinion. Perhaps the panel of doctors are that, although they were his colleagues so it was not necessary an independent opinion. They did help me much more than he was intending to, by persuading him to do tests.

Which house to attribute a specialized doctor, for e.g. an ophthalmologist, or dentist, would it be still the 7th?

I used to think specialists were given the 9th house (higher learning), but now I am not sure if that is a modern principle rather than traditional. Deb has given the 7th in my chart to the "treating doctor" so perhaps this takes in specialists as well, as my doctor is a specialist?
