For the benefit of those into studying astrological source texts and scholarly criticisms thereof, a very underpriced copy of David Pingree's book 'The Thousands of Abu Ma'Shar' has just been listed on Abebooks. I have an open 'want' for this book predating my fortunate acquisition of a pre-owned copy direct from the Warburg Institute, and it is the first copy to appear on open international sale through the Internet in several years since one sold on Amazon priced at $99. My advice: if you are a scholar of astrological history who has been waiting for this book, and can live with the condition being only 'good' instead of 'very good', get it fast before a dealer spots it and prices it up to $100-$200 or thereabouts.

It is priced at $15. If you are unfamiliar with book gradings, 'good' means that the binding may have considerable external wear but still be solid, and internally there may be some underlining or highlighting. If in doubt, ask the seller first, but by the time you get a reply the book may have sold.
