Is my neighbor attracted to me? 1 by Cariene My first post. So happy to have discovered this site in my quest to learn horary. I am in the VERY beginning stages of learning. I'm trying to work through this question and chart below. Please help. Is my neighbor attracted to me? (There is a dreamy guy in my building. I have seen a woman with him, I'm not sure if it's his sister or partner.) My own intuition is this: Gemini is 1st house ? Ruler Mercury (ME) (I don't know what this translates to -- other than it's me.) Sag in 7th house (love interest house?) ? Ruler is Jupiter (HIM) he?s looking ?back? at his girlfriend? No planets there? This is not a good thing.... Also, I don't yet have knowledge of aspects, so not sure how this pans out. I know there is some activity in 4th house - End of Matters -but what does it mean? Thank you for the help! 23 of July/09. 1:55 a.m. in Toronto, Ontario. 2 by mattG With an early ascendant I would hesitate to judge but see that the moon is moving away from mercury your significator. The moon is lady of the third house ruler of neighbours so I am sorry but if doubt if anything will come of it. Regards Matt Quote Thu Jul 23, 2009 7:15 am

So, you are looking at neighbors not "other" or "love interest" house of 7th? I am trying to learn all this. Thanks again! Quote Thu Jul 23, 2009 7:21 am
4 by mattG No, I am sure someone else discussed this previously and said only use the seventh for a partner you already have but others may have a different opinion. Matt Quote Thu Jul 23, 2009 9:44 am
5 by AquaStella The querent is Merury lord 1 and Venus (female side). The dreamy quesited neighbour is Moon lord 3 and Sun (a male). Mercury is in Leo disposited by Sun and under sunbeams , so the querent is interested in the quesited as a male and even a bit "blinded" by his physical appearance. Sun is in its own domicile, but not in any of Mercury's or Venus' dignities. No, the quesited is not attracted to the querent. He is mostly interested in himself and his own needs as a male. Sun is tightly conjunct South Node at the first degree of Leo. South Node points to some kind of loss or affliction in his very recent past. First degree means his status changed very recently, as if he suddenly became independent. Moon, disposited by Sun as well, and under sunbeams, is cnj the part of Widowood and Sun is cnj the part of mother, but I'm not sure what this means. Moon is in Venus' term, so it might be that he has a slight interest in the querent, though it's not necessarily a physical attraction. Saturn, the party pooper, is lord house 9, 7th from 3rd. Venus just separated from a stressful square with Saturn, so Saturn probably signifies the girl the querent saw with the quesited. Saturn is in the 5th house, 3rd from 3rd, so she can either be his sibling, cousin, neighbour , student or family relative. judging by the receptions , the Moon/Saturn relationship is no more than "friendly". Good news: Moon applies to sextile Venus, so the querent will have an opportunity to make contact with the questied, but I doubt it will be a romantic one. Moon will evetually oppose Jupiter Rx. in the 10th, his turned 8th. Not sure what to make of it. Quote Thu Jul 23, 2009 11:24 am
6 by aglaya Hi! I've just opened the chart and I wouldn't say it is an (too) early ascendant as it is almost on 4 Gemini. besides, I've been scratching my head a lot over a relationship chart with the Asc on 2nd degree lately, with the moon separating from the Quesited's ruler and with the main significators applying to each other without reception and, still, the chart seemed to be radical only, probably, suggesting a very early stage of activities and potentially suggesting that the Querent could still influence the situation in some way (was it Lee Lehman? ) and that's exactly what is going on. So, based on what the Querent says here, it is a very early stage and she is still lacking many informations about the Quesited (his relationship/marital status etc.) Now, as long as he is a person she is interested in and as long as she is curious about the prospect of having a relationship with him- I think it is a 1st/7th axes- and, thus, he should get Jupiter while she gets the Mercury and Moon and Venus unless, of course, another woman jumps into her skin ! So, from that standpoint- it indeed does not look like a brilliant situation- even without checking the dignities (though, the Querent is obviously strongly oriented towards this man), the Moon is separating from L1, both are still burned by the Sun and, 'tho the Moon will soon perfect the aspects with some other planets, if we examine Her movement through the sign she is currently occupying as significators of sequence of the future events, She wll eventually form an opposition to L7 (i'll dismiss the application to Pluto at this point). BUT - while the contacts (or lack of them) between the main significators should give us a clear insight into the relationship between the main characters, the rest of the chart should point us into the direction of some significant placements/planets/aspects that could be revealing more (hidden) layers of the story and, potentially, announcing the presence and influence of other people as well. So, whom do L1 and Moon apply to? To the planet inside the Querent's 1st and obviously in love with Mercury (her significator). They're also both separating from another planet- the Mars! While I'd generally be way more inclined to believe that ether the Querent or Quesited are currently involved in another relationship after seeing their significators in a crowded house or, preferably, conjunct another planet- the presence of these planets inside the 1st, could be saying that there's someone other than the Quesited that is after the Querent here! The L1 and the Moon have started separating with the Mars (placed in Jupiter's detriment- the Jupiter is THE man here so, this is something "behind his back" sort of speaking) while the planet they're applying to, Venus, is again in the detriment of Jupiter , has recently started separating from a stressful aspect with Saturn and is now expecting to receive (meets with) both Querent's significators applying from the detriment of that same Saturn (behind Saturn's back again, the Saturn has lost her/his powers here just like Jupiter in the first case. or maybe I'm just losing my mind. ). The houses that these two planets rule is more than interesting too-they both bring a very strong influence of the 12th symbolics and, potentially secrets if not double dealing; the Mars rules the Querent's 12th hile the Venus is coming from the intercepted Taurus inside the 12th, and if we turn the chart, we get pretty much the same picture in regard to the 12th of the partner or partnership (the radical 6th). Now the Querent's ruler blinded and thorn between two lights (if not besieged) seems to be singing a whole different story. She is moving towards someone else and that someone wants her (if, of course, it is a person rather than an activity we're talking about here). Two men? If so, I'd say that the winner is not Jupiter! This all brings me back to the point made by matt23z- who is the Jupiter here or, in better words, is the Querent single and do the planets inside the 1st ring any bells? because, if there is anyone else in her life - the rulerships could easily switch places and I'm not so sure the neighbour would be Jupiter any more. And the Querent's ruler is well received by Jupiter (triplicity and face). How to delineate this fine net of interesting placements and aspects will highly depend on the background of this story I'd say! Just my two pence, anyway! Cheers! 7 by astropet I would follow the John Frawley method on this and use the 7th house ruler for love interests. It doesn't matter if it's your neighbour. If he were in your circle of friends and you suddenly started viewing him differently, would we use the 11th house? I don't think so. So you also get to keep the Moon and we see that both your rulers are completely besotted with him as a man, as AquaStella pointed out. The fact that both your rulers are under the sun beams is not an affliction here, because that's what we want to see. You also have a third ruler, Venus, which unfortunately is in Gemini, in Jupiter's detriment. Not good. Jupiter is in your triplicity since this is a night chart and in the face of the Moon, which means that he is not completely indifferent to you. He may have noticed you, may have liked what he saw, but of course he has no feelings for you yet, which is normal. He seems to be very interested in Saturn. As Jupiter, he is ruled by him and as Sun, he is in the terms and face of him, but also in Saturn's detriment. This may be another person, he may be involved in a relationship, but since the Sun is conjunct the South Node and in the sign of Saturn's detriment, things may not be going well, although he is still with her probably. As Jupiter he has just moved to his own terms, so he gained in strength and eventually he will move to the face of Mercury and the terms of Venus, which is good for you. As Sun, he is going to move to the terms of Mercury, another point in your favour. This may not be much, but it's better than nothing. However, as both Venus and the Moon apply to Jupiter, you may meet or go out or something, but since Venus is in the sign of Jupiter's detriment and the Moon's aspect is an opposition, you may be disappointed. You may be attracted to him as a man, but when you actually meet him you may dislike him as a person or find out about his involvement and decide he's not worth the trouble. 8 by Cariene Some great insight here. I am shocked by the 2nd love interest. Any clues about him? Could it be someone from my past? Thank you so much for all your comments. I appreciate this! Quote Thu Jul 23, 2009 8:46 pm

I appreciate this! Well, like i said, it would be important to know your current relationship status in order to determine who is who here. Do you have any clue as t whom it might be? Can you think of anyone who is potentialy interested in you. And, do the separating aspects (past events) ring any bells? Quote Thu Jul 23, 2009 8:54 pm
10 by Cariene I'm single and looking. There are a few people interested in me at the moment. One person is married (I'm not interested). One person is someone I dated, a Scorpio (I'm not interested.) One is someone, another Scorpio from 2006 that I still think about a lot. There is one more person that is interested, he lives in another city, but I'm also not interested. Thanks for taking a look. 11 by aglaya Ok, so, if you're single, I'll stick to my initial approach- your neghbour gets Jupiter i.e. he is the 7th and, according to the reception- he just might be interested in you (your ruler is in his triplicity and in one of the minor dignities). His ruler being in the triplicity of Mercury, your "affection" for Sun, his ruler applying to your Venus... it could be saying that there is a mutual attraction between the two of you but there is no application, quite the opposite (others may disagree). Is he single? couldn't tell. If we'd use the presence of an outer planet in his immediate surrounding (conjunction) we could, maybe, say that he is taken but, then again, i've never used the presence of an outer planet in that way so, I'll leave this to the others. Still, in my oppinion, it wouldn't make any change even if he were single and I'll skip that part. Your ruler is in his detriment after all but, given that ist is securely leaving the area of combustion, you might start seeing things more clearly soon. Currently, like every one else has rightly pointed out- you're simply pretty much smitten with him. This guy's ruler is retrograde (moving away from his natural domicile) and conjunct Neptune (funny you should call him a "dreamy guy" ))) ) and I'm not sure I like that in the first place. So, back to you! More than one planet inside your 1st and in your rulership is an obvious sign of more than one romantic option, obviously! I am not sure what you mean by separating aspects and past events. Sorry. Separating aspects involving significant planets often tell a lot about the past events usually influental or important ones for the matter inquired about. So, given that both of your significators (Moon and Mercury) are leaving one planet behing (Mars)- it could be saying more about a "split-up", lost of interest in someone or simply moving away from someone who used to be present in your life untill recently. So, you might want to think about who the Mars, sitting in your Asc and inside your rulership might be as he is the planet you're moving away from. That planet is in your triplicity and has just left your term so, it could be someone whom you used to be fond of. The planet that both your significators are applying to is venus. Again, in your 1st and inside your rulership and, again, someone whom you receive in your triplicity. The application is by a favourable aspect and, though your ruler is still not in the best of all shapes, it does bode well. Given that Venus has recently separated from Saturn (1,5 degree orb) and that it was a stressfull square, maybe (just maybe) it could be someone who has recently split up with another person. Whether he is someone from your past or not should generally be determined by the motion of the planet and, since neither of this planets is retrograde, I'm not so sure he is someone from the past but I may be wrong, of course! But, i did mention this earlier: The houses that these two planets rule is more than interesting too-they both bring a very strong influence of the 12th symbolics and, potentially secrets if not double dealing; the Mars rules the Querent's 12th hile the Venus is coming from the intercepted Taurus inside the 12th, and if we turn the chart, we get pretty much the same picture in regard to the 12th of the partner or partnership (the radical 6th). Since both of these planets (Mars, Venus) fit into this story and since you've said yourself that there was a married man in this story- you might want to think twice before you do anything (with anyone). As for the "When" part- I'm still not very good at timing plus, we've got two optionshere; your main significator is applying to Venus in 9 degrees but the Moon, co-significator of the Question is applying to it in only 3 degrees and is, apparently also translating the light between the planets so, maybe the shorter period is more likely here. The planets are angular but mutable/fixed, I'm not sure if we should go for weeks here, i'd probably chose months instead. But, take this with a very high dose of caution!
