Hello everybody

although sometimes it is ok, I think it is time for a break from focusing on your personal chart.

In the last 20 posts we have several requests for help analysing their own personal charts, solar return, transit, etc.

Refering back to the guidelines:

"This is an astrology discussion forum - not a free chart interpretation/tutorial service. The forum exists for committed students of astrology and we don't want posts saying 'this is my birth data - what does it mean?', or 'I've done a horary chart - what does it mean?' Even if you put 'please', 'I desperately NEED your help', or several exclamation marks after your header; we still don't want those kinds of posts. "

If you have a problem with some technique, eg solar returns, you are more than welcome to put your doubts and ask for solutions... but try to avoid focusing on YOUR chart. Instead, focus on the general problem, so we can have a more neutral and unpersonalized discussion about the subject.

Besides that, members are also asked to use the "search" function. I have noticed that new members are posting their questions without even trying to look if the topic was already discussed, and many of them, for instance the topic of "precessed solar returns" were discussed a few months ago.

I?ve just deleted three threads and nine posts which were utterly inappropriate for this forum. Of course now people might not understand why it?s necessary for us to have these policies, and to ask members to stick to them, but after what I have just had to delete, I completely agree with you.

As a new comer I fully respect the forum guidelines-however a different perspective:For a lot of people the initiation into astrology happens when they want to UNDERSTAND what is happening with me which is seemingly NOT in my control!! Hence self charts become the 1st data to be dealt with and understood!!

The focus on self charts do not represent an interest in astrology. It represents an interest in ourselves. This interest may or may not become an interest in astrology.

If the person is interested in "what is happening to me", she should go seek a professional astrologer for a consultation. After that, she may or may not decide to study astrology by themselves.

If the person is interested in learning astrology, this forum is for her. If she is in-between, we can wait until she decides :-P

Well?what if I don?t trust so called ?professional astrologers?. Business is business, eventually they rather want not to solve client?s problems but keep him/her around for longer time?kind of like many doctors. I prefer to learn deeper myself, to see perspective fore myself and close people.
I?m interested in astrology for long time, stated from my problematic personal chart, switched many times to consulting/advising other people in forum?s format, switched back to my and relative?s problems. Being practical consultant is a whole special set of skills?

I think that if i understood my chart i would be able to understand someone elses chart.

i still dont understand my chart and i have not found an astrologer that would speak to me like I would. all the fancy words, i have to look up every single one of them because i have found when I "paid" an astrologer to help me, they are usually so HIGH AND MIGHTY they forget us Mortals dont understand what they are saying.
I am very interested in learning, most of all, horary, so i can answer my own questions and not feel stupid or ignorant that i am slow.

when i do become more knowledgable of horary, i am going to put a book out called HORARY ASTROLOGY FOR DUMMIES. Which is how i feel when i pay my good money to ask an astrologer a question that really is important to me and i seek this kind of help from.

this is a good site, i am new, forgive me if i spoke out of line.
