Skyscript Astrology Forum

The other day I was wishing to write, so and so point I have already clarified in reply No:5 in the thread...but,

I hope, its not all too technically difficult to make , ' Reply No: ...' , appear in the threads , just beside the data of Posted replies's date/time.

... my thanks to Skyscript staff for running this serious-astrology-committed Forum , which I eventually come to respect , and this site really gives very meaningful informations at the click of mouse.

Kind regards to the everyone.

I have only just seen this post today (I was away when it was originally posted) - so sorry for not replying earlier.

I think I understand what you are asking - how to target a specific post within a thread.

Below is the URL which appears in the browser if someone clicks the link to the 2nd page of the '6th house' thread which is currently quite active:

http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic ... 2&start=15

the number 5072 is the number of the thread, and 15 is the number of the post. The forum is programmed to start a new page with every 15th post, so the link to the third page reads:

http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic ... 2&start=30

So if your post was the 3rd post down on the 2nd page, you could target it directly by adding to the link to the thread:

&start=17

Or if it was the 5th post on the 1st page, that would be

&start=5

That way you can include links to other threads, and lead readers directly to an earlier comment, rather than making them find it on the page.

Hope that helps,
Deb
