I am aware that this is not an herbal site! However, there are several articles dealing with herbal therapy on Skyscript, including various herbal affinity allocations from Culpepper, stone/crystal allocations from Lily, etc.
All of the above are related to astrology, and so too are all of my postings relating to herbal affinities. I believe that at least a few Skyscript members would be interested in considering these herbal affinities when trying to apply their horary or decumbiture astrological findings to healing with the affinitve herbs.

I have a question - what planet and what herbal remedy (i.e. hot,cold etc.,) would Blepharitis come under - (for those who don't know it is inflammation of the lids of the eyes) - I would class it as hot and moist probably solved with something cold and dry - what is your opinion.

This is just out of curiosity because I am quite interested in decumbiture astrology at the moment.

+Humorally, blepharitis represents a pure Fire (hot+dry, choleric) condition. Fluid discharge, often a notable feature of the condition, actually represents an attempt by the system to counteract the Fire with "water" (to cool and moisten the fundamental hot + dry state) Therefore, upon an elemental basis, we would select Water (pure temperament) if emphasizing a humoral approach to treatment (among the herbs listed under Water in the Herbal Table of Pure Temperaments we would especially consider Amla, Bala, Couchgrass, Cornsilk, Cucumber {topically applied}, Easter Lily {also White Lily or Yellow Pond Lily), Iceland (or Irish) Moss, Solomon's Seal, possibly Yucca)

+Upon a planetary affinity basis, the condition is fundamentally a Venus situation (Venus affinitive to facial skin), in this case Mars afflicting Venus (can also be Venus disposited by Mars in Aries-especially-also Venus in Scorpio); to a certain extent it could also be Sun afflicting Venus (especially by combust, to a certain extent by opposition, possibly by square); Venus posited in a Fire sign, in negative aspect (including conjunct, parallel and contra-parallel) with Mars (or possibly the Sun) could also account for the condition, as well as Venus conjunct (or parallel) a Mars or a Mars/Saturn quality fixed star. To a lesser extent, Mars afficting Saturn (especially in Aries), or Mars conjunct (or parallel) Sun or Moon in Aries (or in Scorpio) might also indicate this condition.

...Relative to herbal therapeutics based upon planetary affinity, Venus must in any situation be supplemented: thus remedy choice would be from among the Venus affinitive herbs (making sure that the herb does not also have a Sun or Mars affinity) Secondarily, herbs of the Moon (for coolness and moistness) would come into consideration if effective herbs from the Venus affinitive could not be determined, or if they failed in actual application (Moon herbs could also be used from the first to supplement the Venus remedies)

...In "crossing" the Water affinitive herbs with the Venus affinitive herbs (in the Euro-American Herb list) we find Couchgrass, the mosses (Iceland or Irsh Moss), Solomon's Seal, Wild Oat and Yucca, common to both lists;

Dr Farr, could we possibly coerce you into doing a list for Unani-Tibb herbal medicines?

Avicenna wasn't an astrologer, but he did work extensively with temperament. Unani-Tibb being roughly equivalent to 'Greek Universal' from the Arabic - he based quite a lot on Galen.
