Skyscript Astrology Forum

This topic may be a little unusual for the Skyscript traditional forum, but it is not so off-the-track as it might seem. From around the 8th century CE there was a significant exchange of astrological ideas between India and Persia, which eventually led to the emergence of a t?jika or 'Persian' system of astrology in India (beginning in Saurashtra but gradually spreading east and south) quite similar to the methods found in Masha'allah or Sahl ? a development which I am currently researching.

If anyone on this forum (and I notice that we do have a number of members from India) happens to know of good sources for t?jika texts in Sanskrit, with or without translations, or perhaps even of knowledgeable practitioners of this system in India, I would be grateful for any tips. I know that printed editions of many t?jika works have been published over the last century; but finding them is another matter...

Good thing is you can understand sanskrit- these books have sanskrit + hindi translation.Venkateshwara press of Bombay are very reputed and old publishing company and not very dear either.

That is one site I hadn't found; thanks! (The one t?jika text on it is, unfortunately, one of the very few I already have; but there are some other books of interest.)
