Moon cycles and financial trends

I'm sharing this link from the Equinox astrology and Martin Davis facebook page to a Royal Bank of Scotland Report, to give it a bit more exposure.
"The daily change of a financial market index is on average significantly higher at New and Full Moons. The study also shows how purchasing at the New Moon and selling at the Full (over 25 plus years on FTSE, S&P & Hang Seng) - outperforms holding the same shares for the full lunar cycle and results in over double the profit." " In short, investors going into the British FTSE with Sterling 1000 in 1984 and following the index, would now have Sterling 5,130 to show for it. If they had bought at New Moons and sold on Full Moon they would have Sterling 12,116!" (Martin Davis)

This endorses a basic electional principle found in ancient works such as that of Dorotheus: buy when the Moon is increasing; sell when the Moon is decreasing.
