2 by Andrew Bevan Thanks Mark! Al Biruni doesn't get a fat lot of credit for his astrology, does he? Although astrology does get presented as a pseudoscience closely related to astronomy at the time. Interesting listening at 15:45 into the program and the guest's view on Biruni's work on the charting and mapping of time in regard to religious festivals. Then I noted at about 17 minutes into the program James Mount Gomery says that one of the jobs of the astronomer is determining the time of prayer!! The contribution of astrology is obviously quite an embarrassment! http://www.astronor.com Quote Thu Nov 11, 2010 8:10 am
