The Prenatal Lunation

I was wondering if anyone could direct me to the most useful traditional sources on the prenatal lunation and how this is integrated into a natal analysis?

Thanks

I would say that prenatal lunation impacts on life in general; it is used in order to calculate life - hyleg- and the degree of the ascendant (the animodar) and in general its quality,

Hi Mark,

as far as I know, a major source regarding the prenatal lunation in astrology is Valens who uses it in association with longevity and rank. It's possible that PNL had already been used by Petosiris as Ptolemy, independently from Valens, also utilizes it in certain respects.
I think its lore reached Perso-Arabic astrology via Rhetorius and/or Buzurjmihr, who wrote a commentary on Valens' Anthologies. Therefore it appears in practically every treatise on genethlialogy, beginning from The Book of Aristotle.

You may want to consult these sources in order to see its relevance and how to integrate it in natal practice.
