I have been testing out various printing workarounds and this is what I am using now. Bulldog PDF to create an image file of each page. Then importing into Libre Office to edit and collate etc. Mostly what you get are images even with print screen its an image. But being able to use Libre Office is good. I tried a pdf to Word converter but all I got was gibberish. I use Vista and Opera to work the online program SkyPlux .03. My Firefox is scrambled and I cant seem to get any Astroglyphs with it at any setting. I just upgraded to Firefox 4 Beta but got the same Alphanumeric result onscreen.

That's great infomation, Majid, thank you! Right now I'm using skyPlux primarily for its temperament tables, which are so useful and easy to read - but I can definitely see a need to be able to print charts, profections and the lengthier tables, as well. I use Safari with a Mac laptop most of the time and it's not hooked up to a printer - so I don't know a workaround for that platform, but I will definitely use your suggestions when I'm on my PC. Thanks again, and again thanks to Jo?o for skyPlux.

What I have done is create a .pdf image of the relevant page. Then I used the import .pdf facility of Libre Office. It imports into the draw program. Now I am working on how to crop and re-paste into a text format using the Skyplux as images. You can just print-screen to a graphics file and import that into your text editor etc. I was just looking for a more easier solution for me. I find that having the relevant materials on one or two pages off line allows me to refer to them when I need to. There is no online database for Skyplux and the only alternative I had was re entering the data each time. When I tried just to print to a printer I got alpha numerics for the glyphs. Also this saves me paper and ink if I can figure it out. So I am sure you can find stuff to do the same thing on MAC.

Thanks for explaining that so thoroughly, Majid. With this information, I'm sure I can find a Mac workaround. You're right, having all the relevant information on one or two printed pages would be a big plus.

regarding the "extraction" of information from skyPlux, if it is to use the chart directly on a LibreOffice/OpenOffice/MSWord document, I just drag-and-drop it like in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz_jCqcS8tM) that i've posted at skypluxweb youtube channel. In the end, i just convert it to PDF if needed..

To create webpages, like this one in the skyPlux blog (http://skyplux.wordpress.com/2011/03/08 ... -portugal/), i right-click the chart image and save it to the disk, and the tables, in Linux (Ubuntu 10.10) I print-screen only the table section with the "Image Capture" application, and the i upload the images to the blog.

Regarding the database for users, because skyPlux is web based, it must use a scheme of registering users (doable), to maintain the data in the server, although some people may consider this approach an intrusion and violation of their private data. I must approach this carefully, because i don't want people to think that i have any intention to use their data (why would i, any way? I have my own data and no time to handle it)..

But these features (registering users for safe keeping their data [if they want it to] and to keep settings [like house systems, etc]) are planned. For now, my concerns are just to improve the user-experience, and extend it to more features. I have lot of functionalities that i use through source-code but still don't have a graphical user interface for them..

Thanks Jiao I will try these as well but I seem to have more difficulty with the tables (which I want to copy) than anything else <grin>. I know the difficulties with "styles" etc. At least we can view your software on the web <grin>. Not like when I first started online before the Internet using local Bulletin Boards etc. Then it was all text <grin>. Even image files were too big for posting at times.

A suggestion although its in Lilly could you post or attach a file giving the abbreviations in your Primary DirectionsTable? I have been using PD's without all the extras that Lilly uses and I have mostly forgot the abbreviations <grin>.

Hi Majid,

what kind of abbreviations are the ones you don't understand? The "T", the "W/ latitude".. Just to check the kind of "necessities" about an help/FAQ section..

I did work out Term as T but I cannot at the moment remember without looking at a table <grin>. Probably anything you might abbreviate would be a candidate for a FAQ or something.
