However, as I questioned in the English riots thread why are you still using the Capricorn ingress chart? As I understand it 'the old rules' focus on the Aries ingress as the first chart of the year. I am not familiar with the notion of using the Capricorn ingress into the following year in western traditional astrology. Equally, with a cardinal sign rising it would not be seen to have an effect this long. Anyway, I posted up a display of Capricorn ingress charts in the Americas last December. http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5911 The challenge though is that Saturn appears in the 4th in the majority these charts and in many instances much closer to the 4th house cusp than in the US chart. I think this point is often missed when people discuss ingress charts retrospectively. Many countries have fairly similar ingress charts with only subtle differences in the angles. 4 by Wolfgang Hi Mark, I know also that there is a rule about the timing, or for how long this Ingress should be valid, and it depends by this rule to the types of Sign, as cardinal, fix, or Common. For my sight of this rule, I have made the experience, that Capricorn and/or Aries Ingress is relevant for the hole year ( Beginning from Ingress). Like as a general agenda. But for a look deeper, also the other Ingresses important! But I know also from the problem, to get the right time of a possible event, as also, when you look at the map, where this event(s) (act) should really happen. I know a technique, which is very complicated, or intense a lot of mathematic, to find out where it could happen. The starting point is the following equinox or solstice. But this technic is not classical. Also important is, on which point of the main houses (Ingress-Chart the Angels) are these cusps. The foundation stone was laid at noon on July 4th 1848. I have displayed the chart with transits for the time of the earthquake: Tr Mars on radix Sun. Tr Sun on radix Moon. Tr Moon sq radix nodes Saturn. ASC on radix POF. Tr Mercury Rx conj radix Mars. Because of the civil war the completion of the Washington Monument was delayed. The cornerstone was not laid until 1880. This was celebrated in a ceremony at 10:59am on August 7th 1880. I have displayed this chart in the inner wheel with transits on the outer wheel: Tr ASC/DESC on radix Pluto. Tr MC on radix Mars. Tr Venus on radix Moon. Tr Jupiter Sq radix Mercury. Did any one notice the numerology in the charts. 4+7+1848= 11+1848= 1859= 23= 5= High Priest in Major Arcana. 8+7+1880= 15+1880= 1895= 23 = 5= The High Priest again.
