Here are a selection of Libra ingress charts for the next quarter. With all the attention on financial meltdown these days I have focused on the main economic power centres ie USA, China, Japan, European Union and Russian Federation.


General Configuration
An applying Sun-Uranus opposition with Uranus Rx. In any Libra ingress chart at present the Sun is square Pluto. The Moon is separating from conjunction with Mars and next applying to a square of Jupiter. Moon and Mars are peregrine and fall in bounds and face of Saturn. Jupiter is peregrine and Rx. Venus in domicile rulership, Saturn exalted in Libra and Mercury exalted and domicile ruler of Virgo.


Individual charts
On quick inspection the most noteable looking charts are Japan, Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Germany and the Russian Federation. Japan has Pluto on the MC. Italy and Germany have Neptune on the IC. Its an even closer partile conjunction in the Italy chart. Portugal has the Moon/Mars-Jupiter square closer to the MC than any neighbouring countries. The Moon is also quite close to the MC in the Ireland chart although the angles are not so close and the ASC is different. Hence the Ireland ASC is in a trine to Neptune. Spain is reflecting the Moon-Jupiter square near the MC too although to a lesser extent.

The nodes on China's MC/IC axis is interesting too. This may reflect the global crisis beginning to seriously impact China's exports.

The Russian Federation ingress has a highly dignified Mercury on the MC. This probably reflects the powerful position of Russia's current leadership. The so called 'tandem' leadership of President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will switch with the announement this week that Medvedev has agreed to step aside to let 'iron fist' Putin run for the Russian Presidency again in 2012. Medvedev will instead run next year to be the next Prime Minister of a Russia United party government in the 2012 parliamentary elections. The Sun is appropriately in the 11th house in this chart

One noteable feature of the US chart is the Sun being located in the 2nd house. Not really a surprise although the Uranus opposition does give cause for concern. Plus the Sun in Lord 12 in the USA ingress.

Jupiter is Lord 2 in all the European charts below except Portugal and Ireland by Placidus/Regiomontanus or just Ireland (Whole sign/Porphyry/Alcabitius) .
