Samoa misses a day

The population of tha Pacific Island Samoa will miss a day and not experience Dec. 30 2011 as the nation changes time zone and goes from being the people who experience the latest Sunset to becoming the poeple who become the earliest Sunrise in the world.

This small nation (Capital: Apia 13S50, 171W45) claimed independence from New Zealand on January 1. 1962. The island is located right by the date line. The reason for changing zone are financial, since this makes trading with Australia, New Zealand and Asia simpler, Prime Minister Tuila'epa Sailele Malielegaoi explains. - 'When we do business with New Zealand and Australia, we lose two days a week. When it's Friday here, is Saturday in New Zealand, and when we are at church on Sunday, they have already started the work week in Sydney and Brisbane', said the prime minister to the local media.

My comment: I am getting slight technical problems with all these nations and currencies that either start or are introduced at midnight January 1. Although the years are different, and so the overall planetary pattern, many of these charts show very similar positions of the Sun, Ascendant and Midheaven. Anyone have an opinion?

As far as I can reason they must be introducing a time zone -13, or else the celestial clock goes wrong.
There is an interesting position of the Moon and Mars in terms of the 2008 Saturn/Uranus opposition in the 19th degree of Virgo/Pisces.
