Mystery Chart Exercise March 1st 2013 1 by Mark Hello All, I am opening a new Mystery chart exercise with a couple of charts here. For a change I have included a woman (Chart B) in the interests of some gender equality! Unlike the Mystery charts on the traditional forum any form of horoscopic astrology is fine here. I dont care what methods you use as long as they involve horoscopic astrology using planets. Please no numerology, Nine Star Ki, Four Pillar astrology etc. However, Nakshatras are ok since they involve planetary positions. Charts will be presented in both tropical and sidereal zodiacs. For sidereal charts Lahiri ayanamsa will be used. House systems: Alcabitius and Whole sign (tropical), Alcabitius and Equal (sidereal). I will consider posting up another house system if requested. I have decided to leave outer planets off for now. Partly because I have already prepared the charts that way. Partly as a lot of traditionalists like to work that way. Also because it makes it slightly harder to time the charts. However, if there is a demand I will display them later with outers too. Lets keep it polite and respectful. No attempts to point score over zodiacs, house systems, or rulership systems please. If you have a problem with something another member has said please PM me rather than starting a flame war here. The idea here is to pick up the likely occupations for these people. I will give some clues along the way if necessary. Just let your technique shine whatever it is! Thats it for now. Have fun! 3 by Mark Hi Vasanth, Yes it looks more complicated than it is with all those charts! Chart A is a man and Chart B is a woman. Look forward to your analysis. 4 by james_m the male chart 1 tropical he strikes me like he could be the leader for the ira or something to do with violence and organizing people to stand up for something he considers important. diurnal chart with sun ruling the 12th house in a close conjunction to mars the malefic of the opposite sect which is conjunct mercury - both combust.. strong words if nothing else, but i think something more dramatic as it is in the 7th on an angle.. jupiter rules these planets in the 7th and also the 4th house. it is at the midpoint to the descendant/midheaven, but by phase is weak.. there is some mutual reception going on between these pisces planets and jupiter as well. saturn the other diurnal sect planet is in the 6th stronger by phase and ruling over his moon and the 5th/6th houses which suggests organizational abilities and a certain strength in association with groups. mars is the first planet oriental to the sun which is why i think it has something to do with his career. however it rules the 3rd and the 8th houses which is more of why i think there might be a criminal element to the chart and that mercury the ascendant/midheaven ruler is tied to mars.. mercury besieged by mars and saturn ain't nice looking either.. on the other hand jupiter is in the 11th from the pof, while the ruler of the pof is in the 10th with mars/sun.. this suggests something more positive in itself.. venus seems quite strong, although not a planet in sect, it is strong by phase and sign and opposite the part of spirit by house while ruling over the 2nd/9th houses which ought to push something positive into this area of his life.. that's about it for the first chart of the male.. i will try to comment on the female later when i get a chance. Chart A 5 by MorningSun I am going to give a try to Chart A, using the Tropical, Alcabitius Chart. What is striking about this chart is that all the planets are Western oriented, in particular the Sun in the 7th conjunct Mars in almost exact conjunction of Mercury. All of the above is a very strong testimony of the native's life being focused on others (All western planets, and in the 7th ) No only focused on other but involved in the desitny of others. The strong Mars/Mercury conjunction is very strong. This gives the native a very strong (intense) fighting spirit/voice in speaking or sticking up for others, willing to fight for them, or a champion of a cause for others. The Moon in the 4th, in Capricorn, I believe represents his Mother. I would say she gave the native a very strong sense of duty and obligation to others. This theme is futher enhanced or made stronger by a strong Saturn in the 6th house of duty and obligation in its domicile of Aquarius, also a very humanitarian sign, willing to advocate for others, And VERY STRONGLY SO. Since the 10th is the house of the Mother, her staunch teaching of duty and obligation could have translated to a career, ruled by Mercury in the 7th house of others conjunct Mars and the Sun. Virgo rising, and Angular ruler Mercury is going to be strong in the details, regarding other peoples lives or championing their cause. Venus, from the 8th, (other people's finances) trining the Moon, in the 4th, will also give a strong sense of duty and obligation to the public at large. The Sun ruling the 12th, his advocacy of other may be his own downfall, or bring him some sorrow. As I have Virgo Rising, Mercury in MC, and a Libra, which naturally rules the 7th (mine in 1st.) I always am sticking up for those I feel are being bullied or unfairly treated, and I ALWAYS get in some sort of trouble for it!! So I can relate to that. For now that is my take on this first chart. Its late so I just provided what stood out to me the most. Quote Sat Mar 02, 2013 4:43 am

7 by Paul Chart A I think Chart A is someone for whom being heard is important and there's this martian mercurial them that makes me think perhaps he's very brassy and 'loud'. Mercury rules the angles and is in fall and conjunct an out of sect Mars and under the beams of the sun, but is angular so powerful. So it's almost like there's something dangerous or contra-conventional about him. Someone who wants to be heard to shake things up and maybe isn't afraid to spark controversy or break from conventional 'rights' to do so. When I saw it first I was thinking something like a lawyer, the kind of lawyer that is not really in it for the money as much as for standing up for the underdog so perhaps some kind of civil rights lawyer. But then I keep thinking that maybe this guy might struggle to keep his cool and toe the line when it comes to the law so maybe something more 'mass appeal' that isn't quite so self-contained. Anything from a poliitican to a chat show host, the kind that has phone ins and debates. With this strong emphasis on Mars and Mercury I do think there's something quite aggressive or martial about him though and I think ultimately that Mercury although angular is not in good shape being conjunct an out of sect malefic and under the beams. I can't help but think this is someone who sparked controversey in a negative way by putting his foot in it or by lashing out verbally or in some other ways harming himself by what he's said or been miscommunicated as saying. However I also like what james_m said about there perhaps being a criminal element to the chart. I don't know why but I just kind of think that this may be someone a little hot headed and it wouldn't surprise me if he indeed had trouble with the law (which is why I was ruling out lawyer etc) even if not actually imprisoned. 8 by Paul Chart B Okay I think Chart B is more of a performer type, something more like an actress, a model or a singer. I kind of feel that there's less to go on with this chart but it connotes something like a person whose image or looks or figure is very important to them, or someone who is known for their looks as much as their acting/singing etc. though I'm not sure to what extent that is a good thing or not. There are no real squares or oppositions in the chart so I find those kinds of charts sometimes more difficult to read as I think the easier aspects don't always manifest as obviously. The Sun is out of dignity and conjunct Jupiter and Saturn and is angular in terms of whole signs, whilst venus which rules them is also in detriment and this angular at the MC. I just think this is someone who is some kind of performer but may be more known or attract more attention because of venusian matters like her looks. I may come back to this after I look at it more. I look at elements a lot and there's no earth in the chart and with everything else I really think some kind of body issue is important here. Quote Sat Mar 02, 2013 10:01 am
9 by Graham F Sidereally, Chart B is very interesting as it has the MC in whole sign house 12. So we have to decide which: a) Venus on MC closely aspected (trine) by NN, or b) Jupiter/Sun/Saturn combination in WS 10 (near "sensitive point", i.e squaring asc) could give indications of career or maybe of her general aspirations, style and manner/approach. I think I'll go for the occupation she's ended up in as being Ju/Su/Sa: Jupiter is R1 (preferentially), Saturn of 3 (it's positive sign Aq) and Sun of 9. And the style she projects in that occupation as Venusian, hardened and exacerbated by the aspect fo NN. A forceful but rather glamorous (or would-be glamorous) politician stateswoman, careful about clothes and image, maybe a top judge or religious leader, but can't think of many Venusian types. What comes to mind is a leader like Eva Peron or Benazir Bhutto. Only current one I can think of is Christina Kirchner, but I'd say she doesn't have the stature this chart indicates (Sun, Jupiter and Saturn in 10). Will try and have a look at chart A later. 10 by Graham F Another interesting thing about B is Venus and Mercury are well away from Sun, so strong: Mercury 18? distant in 11 (could be high earnings from occupation), and Venus over 44? which is nearly at the 45? point where it's supposed to become overpowering, as well as being on the MC. It's true it's in WS 12 and in detriment if that is valid, but I'd say the angular and phase strengths, and the aspect from NN definitely outweigh any weaknesses. 11 by Graham F Just a quickie attempt for chart A, not so much time this weekend. Sidereal, WSH. I'm going to go for someone whose occupation takes them abroad a lot, either lots of long trips or residence abroad (4 planets including Sun R1 in 7; trine aspect of NN on 7; trine of SN on Asc; Venus R10 in 9). I think this man might have a religious occupation, a spiritual teacher or priest: R10 in 9 (faith, spirituality), Moon in 5 (spiritual activities, and rites) with SN (renunciation, spirituality) which also aspects Ascendant. Saturn, Mars, Mercury and Sun all opposite Asc in 7, Mercury and Mars combust. Alhough Mars is benefic for Cancer Asc, Saturn and Mars in 7 will probably compromise partnerships - marital or professional, so could be single, or unsuccessful in marriage and/or working alone or not really in a team. Mars closely opposes Asc and more loosely squares MC/10, and Saturn closely aspects Venus R10 by sextile: both energy and also discipline/determination in career, which could be in 9th house area like religion (Mercury and Moon look a bit compromised for philosophy; could be an artist or musician but I wouldn't think a very succesful one, too much exile and renunciation in the chart). Jupiter R5 and 8 in 8 may give interest in occult side of spirituality. Graham Quote Sat Mar 02, 2013 2:51 pm
12 by geo Chart#A: For me, a strong Mercury-Mars conjunction denotes an occupation where body and mind become one, like an athlete. Being in the artistical Pisces in 7H of others, makes me specificly think of a dancer. Note the strong mutual reception between Mars & Jupiter, which adds more to the Mars quality than to the mercurian (if mercury was received, instead, maybe he could be an advocate or singer or whatever else) As far as the Chart#B is concerned, I agree with pankajdubey, that she could be a judge or lawyer. Saturn is so dignified in WS 10H, along with Jupiter (the two judgers) and Sun: the 3 fire triplicity rulers conjoined and totally in sect! I imagine a fair and brillant nativity.
