Mutual Reception 1 by Gem Hello I have a couple of questions regarding Mutual Reception. Example: Venus in 2 Aries and Mars in 3 Taurus. 1) Do the planets take on each other's degree(Venus in 3 Taurus and Mars in 2 Aries in this case) or do they retain their original degree?(Venus in 2 Taurus and Mars in 3 Aries)? 2)Can Mutual Reception be applied to natal chart interpretation? For example in this case, can the Venus and Mars be considered to be equal to being in a harmoneous aspect? Quote Thu Jan 20, 2005 10:23 am
2 by bilastro Hello, Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson has an interesting take on Mutual Receptions: " This writer has observed an unusual situation in which two natal planets in no zodiacal aspect but in each other's natural Sign so that they are also read as though back in their own , may progress to form an interesting development. For example, Mercury in 10 Aries and Mars in 25 Gemini may also be read as * Mars in 25 Aries and Mercury in 10 Gemini*. When Mercury progresses to 25 Gemini conjunct natal Mars he forms an aspect to Mars' mutual reception place, 25 Aries, making him favorably inclined toward taking part in a development always having to do with an exchange" She also write about mutual receptions of the Sun and Moon and states: "...ANY planet in mutual reception brings changes for the better in the life." More Will Be Revealed. . . Quote Fri Jan 21, 2005 12:55 am
3 by Gem Thanks for your reply. From my very limited personal experience, I've observed that the planets in mutual reception but not in any actual aspects behave as if they are in a strong aspect... but I'm not sure about they 'bring cahnges for the better' though. Anyway I look forward to more being revealed! Quote Sat Jan 22, 2005 10:17 am
