Hi
It is said that the 9th house doesn`t help the 10th because it is the 10th 12th.Reason: when you are busy studying you cannot focus on work.
what about 8th not helping 9th?. I fail to see how 8th does not help 9th as both are esoteric in nature

Dragonqueen, I certainly agree eit you, but, would you mind to give, just for information, a quotation of some author who claims this?

As to the 9th and tenth houses - you could easily ask, on what else than his studies could someone focus at all when he is really studying?

Many careers need successful studies to be begun at all. Without their voyages neither Darwin nor Columbus would have become as famous as they are. In horary the 10th house signifieth the gain gotten by a voyage, &c.

I wonder how - the 9th house thus being the foundation of the 10th house - it could be claimed the 9th house would not help the 10th?
