One of the upcoming eclipses in October, the lunar one, will land almost exactly on my partner's Descendant. His Descendant is at 26 degrees Aries, and the full moon eclipse is at 25* Aries. I actually also have an Aries Descendant (Libra Rising) but the orb is wider. We have been having problems and on the edge of break up for a while now, and it seems like we're getting closer day after day. I wonder if October is when the relationship will end?

I think that this transit can be very important, but it's just a transit. In my opinion, they just pull the trigger of events that are shown in more consistent techniques, like profections, solar revolutions etc. If any of this techniques is pointing to an end in your relationship, I doubt that only this eclipse will be enough
