I'm just creating this thread as a response to Wolfgang in another thread, and it talks a little bit about using statistics and datamining tools to study astrology methods..

it may be complex to try to explain the entire procedure in the forum, and I don't want to pollute Martin Gansten's thread, so in the following weeks I will try to produce a document with some of the key ideas behind my current approach.

But in a nutshell, I created an algorithm to automatically "screen-scrape" a Portuguese sports website (http://desporto.sapo.pt/futebol/primeir ... esultados/), and extract the teams/date/times/scores for each football match. Then, using my software (skyPlux), for each game I generate a new table with the sign/ruler/ruler dignities/ for each house. Finally, I use a data mining software (RapidMiner) to visualize the astrological data.

For a small example of the visualization part, see this image which shows the Ascendant ruler house position (in this case it is only when Mercury is the Asc Ruler), and the colors are who won (Blue: HomeTeam, Green: VisitorTeam, Red:Draw).
My hypothesis is that the Ascendant is the Home Team. The data seem to indicate that when the Asc ruler is in house 6, the other team (Visitors) win more, 15% of the time. When the ruler is in the 7th, Home team wins more, and Visitors have a drop of 35% on the winnings. This seems to be in accordance with the traditional approach of house scores (house 6 harms more than house 7). Strangely enough, I see this happening for many Asc rulers, but house 8 does not seem to "harm" so much the Asc ruler..

This analysis of the data is, however, far from complete!

now we are on the right web side.

Now I understand better your intension. I looked to your web side "SkyPlux", which I have recognized some month ago. - There I can now remember me some critical points also, which I did not write as this time. - (in short, in graphic I wish better sign, may bigger, and how I can use the data later in an other program?)
But this are peanuts,- now for to solve other problems, as the input of hundred of other datas ? and by using different house systems, different kinds of rulers as Almuten etc? but this in dif. variationen....
I'm therefore curious about your idea the software in a few months
