Hi Folks,

Taoism and Astrology

I've been doing some interesting work with my Acupuncturist. We've got this so far.

Sun = Yang
Moon = Yin

Mars = Shen = Fire
Mercury = Zhi = ?
Saturn = Yi = ?
Venus = Po = ?
Jupiter = Hun = Wood

Any opinions on how Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are see in Taosim ? And what are the elements for the remaining planets.

Any comments ?

In the Chinese system, planets and elements are linked like this:

Mercury = water
Venus = metal
Mars = fire
Jupiter = wood (or wind)
Saturn = earth

I wonder, what's your source on (or how did you derive) the planetary attributions to Shen, etc.?

As to the outer planets, all I can say at the moment is that you have raised an interesting question.
