Where is the missing Youth (5th or 7th used?)

1
Have recently asked a question where it was important (to my personal impression of the youth) to urgently ask a question about someone missing since 2013. The simpatico was strikingly felt and so although the link is not personal, to me it is something that called to my attention an anxious urge to ask whether the lad could come home soon in my subconscious. Will post the coordinates here should the forum wish to post the chart. As yet do not know how to post a chart.
Here are the coordinates: January 25th 2015; 10:51 am/pst; Forest Grove, Oregon 123w07 / 45n31

Will someone please consider helping me out with this topic?

Later than 27 degrees on the Ascendant: Having more than 27 degrees of a sign on the Ascendant position indicates that the matter has already come to conclusion, thus the question is no longer relevant

Hi - I think you can judge a chart with just over 27degrees on the ASC so long as you are very careful. The Consideration is just that : a consideration to be taken into account AND it could well be that the matter has been resolved and the young man is back home already or has been found to be safe ? something which the 27degrees could be suggesting.

If you ask the question about his safety (is that what you meant to ask?) and are not associated with the missing person, then 1 ruler signifies the missing person. Here, that is Mars which is in Pisces where he has some dignity and ability to act if it is a night chart and he would be in his own Triplicity. Here that's not the case.

The other signifier is Moon which has separated from Mercury and will apply by trine to Jupiter and then by sextile to Venus - but the last one is a too-wide orb. Both Moon and Mars are in the 12th House which does not bode well. Is it possible he could be in prison or in an institution of some kind?

It would be good to have an Event chart for the time and date the youth went missing as a Root chart. Do you know this? And also, is there concern that the youth may have been hurt? Killed? Was he considered to be unwell when he went missing?

In Issue 9 (Summer 1995) of The Traditional Astrologer there is some material on missing persons which may help you. Also in the Horary Practitioner magazine Issue 12 (1992). There are charts there judged by good horary astrologers together with articles which summarise a lot of the material for judging these sorts of charts and from which you can self-study.

It's somewhere for you to start with questions of this kind. Good luck. ___

Thanks Maggie you are one of the hopefuls on this chart and I appreciate your info. I will start with the articles if I can locate them and bone up on the course of action you suggest. The lad has been missing since 2013. Ivy Jacobson tells us if the ruler of the 9th is retro than possibly the animal or in this case the young man might return I am hoping this is the case. Albeit only the last degree of 27 Sag. is there possibly Jup. retro will promise return to the parents. Even when the chart is turned to represent Merc. also retro on the ninth communication will come back? Gemini on this house. Don't like the fact that Mercury is retrograde, always something to correct in the math or something of that nature, but if the 9th ruler does the trick all will be good for those concerned. Just a novice here, but Astrology is my passion. I take it yours also? Thank you very much for your concern. I too agree the chart can be read even if only the last degrees are present on the Asc.
Sincerely Vyri

Hi Vyri and welcome to skyscript

Although I would personally not advise casting a chart about a situation that is not personally known to you or affecting you, you can of course do so if you feel it is pressing upon you in some way. However, I would encourage that you read through this sticky first:
http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7260

I've extracted one of the key points:
Members submitting charts for discussion with just a few basic signification notes and asking other members to offer their thoughts on what the chart means are not encouraged in this forum as our focus is on facilitating discussion wherein members develop their own recognition of chart meaning. This forum is not designed as a free chart interpretation service so such posts may be deleted without warning, including contributions from other forum members. We ask all members to keep this policy in mind and not to respond to requests for chart interpretations.
WIth this ethos in mind, I would encourage you to return to the chart yourself, and try to engage with its symbolism and offer your own interpretation of the symbolism as its shown in the chart - I've noticed you have made some first steps toward this in your latest post. I wonder what you make of the Moon in the 12th house in this chart?

The topic header asks if the 5th or 7th should be used for signification of the missing youth - probably neither of these. The choice of signification is established according to the relationship you (the querent) have with the missing youth. If he is your child he would be signified by the 5th, but if you have no identifiable relationship with him personally, and his return is unlikely to involve a meeting with you, then we don't find a place for you in the signification of the chart, and treat it as a general query that is focussed purely on him, and assign his signification to the first house.

In any event, the Moon is always be used as an important additional significator for the missing person, so the fact that both 1st-ruler and Moon are in the 12th are important considerations.

If you are new to horary and this situation does not directly concern you (and you are unlikely to be able to help directly), then I'd advise caution about getting too involved in this through the horary - the late ascendant is one indication that the question lacks radicality and it is too late for you to help resolve the problem.

Thank you for your time Debra, I understand the forums position and well develop some way to understand the symbolisms of this chart, hopefully not entirely on my own, but as you say with willing contributions under the guidelines of those permitted by the forum.

Sincerely,

Vyri

I have noted the Moon's disposition within the 12th, not a great testimony for a conclusion ending satisfactorily, especially with Cancer upon the 4th at 13 deg. (taken into account the degree South Node is at and Uranus also) natural ruler Moon there of. Ivy Goldstein gives a clue as to the distance the individual might be located:
The moon is at 17 deg. Aries 25 min. and the difference between the ruler of the Young man which is the Sun at 5 deg Aquarius and 29 min. is approx.12 deg. Using the 5th as a young man asked about and because I am old was thinking of the bright promise youth might have being happily reunited with wisdom of loving parents.
Take this distance between the ruler of the individual (The Sun) and the moon whether or not they are in aspect and multiply the difference they are apart before leaving the signs they are in. The ruler Sun is at 0-Lat. Succeedent= half mile times 12 approx. 6 to 7 miles away. The youth has the Sun for His ruler in aquarius, the description of the ruler in this sign is indicative of ground that has been changed in character; from agricultural to residential, perhaps from residential to commercial, or perhaps from commercial to industrial. It may be reclaimed ground due to irregation, or desserts opened to homesteaders recently.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the 7th house is used for the undesignated individual I'm wondering if that description is accurate for the individual is revealed to me, (as I am the querent) asking the question. I have turned the chart so that the house ruling the quesited person rises giving 27 deg. of LIbra descriptive of his temperment ? Ascendant and giving him a first house reading. Fixed signs where the active principles are give root to the cause. Consider Venus/Merc/Sun in Aquarius. The fifth house as ruler of a youth having the Sun as significator is another consideration. The 9th house when 27 Libra rises suggests Retro Mercury (communication) is returning about the concern last degrees of the sign Gemini there, and when Jupiter is upon the 9th a similar testimony is there when the chart is unturned, Sagittarius on the 9th and 8th. I like the fact that there is a mutual exchange of Jupiter and the Sun that comes from the 11th house and 5th. It seems he may have some protecting mates about (friends ruled by Aquarius within the 11th where he is residing) but the Sun is detrimented there. Wish the lad had some lute (Mercury retro and ruler of the 2nd) chart unturned, to return home. Mercury retro might just be the grist that allows his friends to alert him because of a placard distributed in the area allowing the writ to be the works of the beginnings to wish him to call home for fair to return? When the exchange of the protecting Jupiter is about the house of hopes, whose to say how he (Jupiter) may shine his countenance upon its meaningfulness? Wishing someone might shed some light on a similar reading or that the worst is not the case with other testimony I see within the chart. The Sun is Parallel Saturn in the South Declination. Even though Jupiter gives an exchange of Mutual reception "Me Casa Sue Casa" with the Life GIver Sun, Jupiter (ruling the 8th when the chart is unturned) might see itself as in the 8th of the Destiny of the 10th where Pluto resides up there in the 10th. Anyone? Wishing to see something positive within the chart! Am using the Ivy Goldstein Simplified Horary Book also the Jones Book on Horary is a favorite.

Hoping for a more intelligent directive should the forum think the chart noteworthy. Even though I am not personally involved I dare cent say how many of us can hope to contribute on a level more personally if not actually related to individuals than to wish them a found recovery in prayer...and the art of Horary Astrology fills that distinction for me as a church. I am sorry if I have wasted anyone's time.

I forgot where I read that when you see Fortuna in 3rd house generally means a negative answer. I suggest you to get a chart from the side of boy's parents so that it can be easy for you and us to judge

If the 7th house is used for the undesignated individual ...
Vyri, can you tell me where you get the idea that the 7th house represents "an undesignated individual" for this kind of chart? Is this your interpretation of what Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson says on p.207 of her book? I am trying to track down the origin of where this idea comes from, so a reference will be appreciated for saving my time.

Would also appreciate anyone else's references to horary texts that suggest the 7th house offers signification of the quesited in horaries asked out of concern for missing people, where the querent doesn't have an identifiable relationship with the quesited.

Thanks for any responses!
