Malefic Trines

Not sure if I should post this in the General Forum, but since I only utilize Whole Sign Houses and eschew modern planets...I figure this is where it belongs.
Recently it has come to my attention that not all trines are of a benefic nature.
By this I am referring to one planet being in fall or detriment in trine to another planet (regardless of the second planet's essential dignity or debility).
I find usually that the more pessimistic approach usually better represents the natal promise indicated by the chart. I suppose I will incur detractors, but this has been my experience.
Therefore, a trine from Jupiter in Capricorn to the Moon in Taurus, for example, would actually be quite malefic. Although certainly it depends on which planet is applying to which planet, the fact is, both planets must be factored into the aspect.
I would argue that the Moon's exalted position in Taurus may ameliorate the condition of the evil Jupiter, but that conversely, the evil Jupiter would perversely affect the exalted Moon. This is what I would call a malefic trine (as opposed to a trine between two peregine planets, two dignified planets, or one planet with dignity and one peregrine.)
Thoughts?
